Building your child's library on a budget

This is my younger kids' bookshelf. I started building this library when I was pregnant with Jackson, or a little over 3 years ago. Very few were purchased brand new. This isn't even all of them.

Here is a list of places to look to build your child's library:
  1. Garage sales!
  2. Half Price Books --especially the clearance section
  3. Once Upon A Child --most stores offer a reward program that will send you a coupon for a free book or toy coupon each month.
  4. Library Book Sales --- we try to hit on the day of the bag sale, This is where you buy a bag for a certain price and then stuff it
  5. Goodwill and other thrift stores - - we try to hit them on the 50% off days
  6. Freecycle
  7. Craigslist

Make sure to flip through the books to see if any pages are missing before buying them.
