Tot Schooling week 1

We started our tot schooling this past week, but with having the big kids home from school and trying to get the errands done that I needed, we didn't accomplish as much as I would have liked.  I did notice that Jack's behavior improved 10 times when he was engaged in some sort of activity.  I introduced the Do-A-Dot Rainbow Art Set (Set of 6) pages.  Mia had a blast and loved working with the daubbers.  Jack wasn't too interested and walked away. 

We also practiced our sorting and our shapes with the Melissa & Doug Stack and Sort Board.

 

Next we practiced our fine motor and counting skills.  We took an empty bottle and some cotton balls and made a snowman.  We counted each cotton ball that went into the bottle.  When we were finished, we put eyes, a giant nose, and some buttons on it to complete our snowman.
